In FAHRENHEIT 9/11, Director Michael Moore examines the Bush administration’s financial ties to Saudi Arabia and the bin Laden family. Fahrenheit 9/11 is a well-researched, highly controversial, and important documentary. Moore takes a detailed look into political events both before and after the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Moore reveals how the U.S. government helped the bin Laden family return to Saudi Arabia immediately after September 11, when all other flights were still grounded and examines military recruiting techniques in such poor areas as his own hometown of Flint, Michigan.

Also examines military recruiting techniques in such poor areas as his own hometown of Flint, Michigan.

He even attempts to get congressmen to enlist their own sons and daughters into the military.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11 is certainly a worthy successor to Moore’s previous documentaries: THE BIG ONE, ROGER & ME, and BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE. Fahrenheit 9/11 - once again shining a light on the past, present, and future of the United States.

If you like action, War of the Worlds is a must-see movie. Starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning in this almost 2 hour visual effects-packed science fiction movie, an updated adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel. The movie is directed by Steven Spielberg.

So what’s this movie about? The story evolves around Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise), an ordinary man, and his daughter Rachel (Dakota Fanning). They have to survive (along with everyone else on this planet) an invasion and attack of the so-called alien Tripods, which can’t be stopped by normal human beings.

Tom Cruise’s actings were pretty good, even if you’re normally not a fan, you will be impressed. Evenmore, Dakota Fanning blew everyone else away. Very talented, and love to see more of her in the future (see recommendations below). I won’t get in to much details, not to give away any spoilers. But aliens (Tripods) taking over the world! Great Well, it’s not just another Independance Day… although that one had a far better story. As can be expected from Steven Spielberg, the special effects are truly amazing, at some times even frightening and realistic.

Don’t see the movie if you like everything to be explained, since the movie will certainly not. As said, if you like alien blockbusters, go see it at the cinema’s, since it won’t be that much fun and exciting watching it on DVD.

Recommended movies if you’re a Dakota Fanning fan: Man on Fire (also starring Denzel Washington) and Hide and Seek (with Robert DeNiro).

DreamWorks is expected to release Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds DVD on 11/22. The soundtrack is already available and can be ordered through Amazon

Cast: Tom Cruise (Ray Ferrier), Dakota Fanning (Rachel), Justin Chatwin (Robbie), Miranda Otto (Mary Ann), Tim Robbins (Harlan Ogilvy), Rick Gonzalez (Vincent), Yul Vazquez (Julio), Lenny Venito (Manny the Mechanic), Lisa Ann Walter (Sheryl), Ann Robinson (Grandmother), Gene Barry (Grandfather), David Alan Basche (Tim), Roz Abrams (Herself), Michael Brownlee (TV Reporter, Osaka), Camillia Sanes (News Producer).
